Dr. Catherine Arevalo
David Cheesman, D.O.
Beverly Wicks, ANRP
Graduated from Monmouth Medical Center School of Nursing in 1966, University of Miami Nurse Practitioner Program in 1976 and the University of Central Florida with a BA in Sociology in 1981.
Beverly has experience in adult primary care, bioidentical hormone replacement, regeneration medicine, PRP therapy, IV supplementation and works with the addiction team at PTC supervising the nursing functions.
Her work history is diverse:
She has worked in migrant farmworker clinics, for Seminole County Health Department, PCA HMO clinics. She was the Associate Director of Inpatient and outpatient services FPA MSO and worked in the addiction program at the Center for Drug Free Living in Orlando. She has worked in numerous primary care offices, has extensive infectious disease experience including HIV, HEP C, diabetic wound care and other infectious disease issues. Currently she is focused on regenerative and wellness medicine programs.
Scott D. Bush, Ph.D., LMHC
Dr. Scott Bush is licensed by the Florida Board of Health as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and sex therapist. He has a Ph.D. from the American Academy of Clinical Sexologists and a master’s from Barry University in Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling.
He is a Board of Health Approved Supervisor for interns in Marriage & Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, and sex therapy. He has experience in treating obesity, chronic pain therapy, panic attacks, relationships, individual psychotherapy, and trauma with expertise in stress, sleep disorders, and clinical supervision. He is an ordained minister and spiritual counselor.
Donna Thrash, M.A. LMHC
Donna Thrash Kurpiers holds a master’s degree from Western Michigan University and is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and is a member of the American Counseling Association, Florida Mental Health Counselors Association, and the National Career Development Association.
Donna's professional career spans 20 years. She began work in the addictions field in the mid-90s during the height of the crack cocaine epidemic and became Director of a county-based outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program while in Michigan. She was instrumental in creating intensive outpatient treatment programs for women and working collaboratively with community partners to streamline services and increase access to care for underserved populations. She also served several years as Clinical Supervisor for a private, nonprofit addictions treatment center in Pittsburgh, PA.
Donna remains dedicated to working with individuals and their families struggling with the devastating effects of alcohol and other drugs. She uses research-based and theory-driven treatment models and practices that treat the individual holistically, creating plans of care that address physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.

Winter Park Recovery Center in Winter Park, FL, acupuncturist and nutritionist performing intake assessments and treating patients of the drug & alcohol clinic. As part of the alternative treatment team with a goal to increase successful outcomes.
2010 - Present
Director of Wellness Programs at Premier Rehab in Deland Florida. Implemented acupuncture, oriental medicine and nutritional medicine to complement and support occupational and physical therapy, treating a wide range of conditions.
Supervised the E84 Challenge program. It’s a 84 day health and fitness program which helps patients lose weight, improve energy, general health and fitness. Our program also includes lifestyle counseling and a customized exercise program.
2003 - 2010
Director of Wellness Programs at Advanced Medical Practices in Longwood, Florida. I was responsible for the development and implementation of testing and nutritional therapy for a wide range of conditions. Developed patient education materials and seminars to inform patients about natural solutions. Also performed cardiovascular testing, lab tests, and meridian screening. Treated patients with acupuncture, herbs, bodywork and nutritional supplementation. Worked with patients to improve outcomes through exercise, diet and lifestyle counseling. Conducted research on nutritional approaches to wellness.
1999 - 2003
Owned and operated a wellness center with a natural foods restaurant in Gainesville, Florida. Our restaurant offered an organic vegetarian menu with options for those suffering from food allergies. Offered services including massage therapy, acupuncture, hypnosis, dietary and lifestyle counseling. The center also included a retail outlet for healthy lifestyle products from around the world.
1995 - 1999
Owned and operated a positive lifestyle education center and bookstore in Melbourne, Florida. Offered seminars from a wide range of teachers on subjects related to health and positive lifestyle. We marketed mind technology products for stress relief and accelerated learning.
1985 - 1995
Owned and operated residential and commercial security systems dealerships. Worked in all aspects of the business from installation, service and marketing.
Author of Meditations for Miracles and Five Steps to Freedom, Diane has been conducting group and individual hypnosis sessions since 1997. She has received certifications through the National Guild of Hypnotists, the American Board of Hypnotherapy and is a charter member of the Hypnosis Education Association. She has a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree, both from California State University at Long Beach.
Diane is also a practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and has developed several cutting-edge NLP techniques, including a process she calls, “Brain Shifting.” She has been a speaker at national conventions and currently conducts monthly group sessions at the Winter Park Library, in addition to her private practice in Maitland.
A former high school teacher in California and Oregon, she was also an associate editor at a weekly newspaper and a desk editor and reporter at a daily newspaper, both in Arkansas. Diane loves to work with people and help them transform their lives. She has recorded numerous hypnosis and meditation CDs and MP3s, which are available on her website at http://www.dianeross.com.

Bob’s experience in the substance use disorder field started in 1997 in Sarasota, Florida, where he was initially involved in an alcohol recovery program that specialized treatment using the Sinclair Method of Alcohol Extinction. Later, in 2004, he formed and was President of National Drug & Alcohol Recovery in Lake Mary, Florida, which was one of the first prescribers of buprenorphine in the Orlando area under the Life Recovery name.
In 2010, the office was moved to Winter Park, and the name was changed to Winter Park Recovery Center. In 2019, the office was moved to its present location, and the name was changed to Professional Treatment Centers.
Over the years, the companies have developed evidence-based treatments that are best described as medically managed dual diagnosis protocols integrated with acupuncture, massage, exercise, hypnosis, nutrition, and spirituality.
